August 26, 2013 ¿!No tenemos razon para regocijarnos?!

Yesterady Elder Gueto baptized Nicolas. Twas Awesome and Humbling! Thursday, we visited Nicolas and instead of wanting to read with us the Book of Mormon he passed his time on the facebook machine:( We expressed to him our concern and such, but friday when we passed by he had read and prayed, and we both felt he was ready. Elder Gueto, as he layed in his bed friday night, felt the impression that everything would be okay;) And it was! His whole family, including his Dad (carlos) and sister (Jazmine) came and felt the spirit. In his testimony, he said that ¨I know with all of my heart, that Jesus is the Christ the son of God, and that this is his church. The spirit was so so strong!;) I was able to play I am a child of God and The families can be eternal for his baptism:) Later that night, we shared a movie about the family ¨Togethor forever¨ with the family, and the book of Mormon! Carlos left this morning for a business trip, BUT took with him his Book of Mormon to read 3 Nephi 13, that he had not touched for 15 years! It really was a miracle. God gave us this family to help, they have been such a blessing to us!

My new companion is Elder Hasler from Provo! He lives just before the Heber Dam. We´ll be a trio for 2 weeks with Elder Gueto, and then chao! Back to Colombia;(
This week I  was able to do divisiones with Elder Jones AND Elder Tait, my Dad and my son, it was really fun to see their progression, how we´ve changed! Elder Tait speaks even better now!

We´re working with a couple new families now. Yesterday we visited the Gomez family, and simply read with them the BoM, 1 nefi 1. The spirit was so strong, they want to return and are going to come to church, are super stoked on the Book of Mormon:)

I´m so grateful for the good comps and families that God has sent me! I know that he is our loving heavenly Father, he watches over and cares for us! Jesus Christ is the savior of the world, and this is his church. More to come! Thanks for the support! I couldn´t send photos for some reason... sorry, next week! Happy birthday! Thanks for the prayers!

August 19, 2013 MMM... Carne Picada

We had a dandy week! (To be read in a british accent).

Veronica and Valentina are doing remarkably well. Veronica was approached by her friend this past week Alejandra. She said, ¨There is a difference in you, I see so much peace in your eyes, I want what you have.¨ She said to her, inviting her to church as well, ¨Come over to my house for a FHE, and I have a gift for you, the Book of Mormon!¨ Although still anxious to share the gospel sometimes, to open her mouth and solicit oportunites to share, she is regularly being asked by her friends and colegues at work about her change. ¨Preach the gospel, and If necesary use words¨ -President Monson.
Valentina this past week went out with the Sisters a few times and loved it! She has become a great example for her sister Genesis. Genesis is killin´ it too! Her comprehension from the BoM is still remarkably better than mine, haha! She reads a chapter and then reiterates, verse for verse from memory what happened there! Pretty ballin´, she puts me to shame:)

In divisiones with the famous ELDER WATSON from the MTC (torn MCL, woops:( ). there was a sign that said ¨Empanadas con Carne Picada.¨ We were found wondering, ¨what´s the difference between picada and molida,¨  naturally we asked the first man who came walking by. Well obviously one is diced, the other being ground:)  Our friend proceeded to explain to us that he had lost his twin sons, and had a lot of questions about where they are, and wanted to help his wife out of depression. We set up a lesson and took down his information for a lesson. It was yet another example of how God uses small and simple means, to carry out the great:) and how ALL things good carry a connection to God.

We had a fun movie night in the church with a bunch of inv., less actives, and actives, being screened ¨17 Miracles.¨ I felt really moved by the sacrifices of the pioneers to cross the plains. A few tears were shed (but not by me). I feel like there are so many stories to be told, church stores to be told, and would love to work for the church doing exactly that!

Brother Luis Leiva from the ward (voice of Worms World Party, spanish version) sang to the family Espinace in a FHE the other day. He sings in weddings, parties, etc. AND has more than 6,000 facebook friends. The spirit was super strong, and helped Veroncia feel the confirming spirit to forgive those who have been abusive towards her in the past.

Please keep leondro, Genesis, and Nicolas in your prayers with their approaching dates, that they can combat doubts with prayers of gratitude and the BoM!

I think Valentina and Fransisca will go with the young men and women, and we will see the temple grounds the 3rd of Sept. with others! Should be neat-o.

Im grateful that God pushes us out of our comfort zone so so much!
Love you all, pictures to come next weeeeeeekkk

August 12, 2013 I Believe In Miracles!

Veronica was baptized! She looked incredibly peaceful as she was baptized in the water, which is rare for her, ha. She is very very dramatic, energetic, funny, etc;)) Mom she remimds me a LOT of you. She gave a talk after, about leaving our comfort zones. About having a vision. We´re going to start teaching them about the temple, applying that vision immediately!! We´re going the 3 of september! Should be neat-o;)
We´re still teaching Genesis, who has a date for the 25 of August. She pretty consistnet about reading the Book of Mormon, and her testimony is growing, as long as we follow up with her, haha;))

Nico, his sister, and her boyfriend all came to the baptism as well. This is so awesome because none of them are members, AND we have a FHE with them tonight! We´re going to whip out a dandy game of Änmial signs¨. We´re very grateful to be able to teach that family, the Llanos family. Keep praying for them;)

Today as a zone we went (again!) to Japimaxxxx, bowling! I bowled a solid 90-something and something else. We took lots of photos, more to come.

We just started working with Leondro!!!!! From Mendoza, Argentina. He´s real neat, we´re going to give him a bunch of church clothes, becasue he´s in need;) In our lesson with him, we shared a lot from the Book of Mormon. He commented how he always carries it with him, and reads throughout the day, at work, lunch, in front of his collegues, etc! He has a date for the 7th of Sept. Keep praying for him!

The holy ghost gave us a fantastic idea! Mariza is teaching zumba now, in our chapel and in the one next door (los libertadores)! She´s super professional, quite skilled, and really energetic, and a great teacher! She attracted a lot of the sisters, and some investigatores. We´re excited to keep seeing miracles through the activites of the church:)

Lots of miracles, lots of ideas, lots of fun, and lots of work!

Here´s my dream. Donate/own/buy with the church a ski resort, so orphans, and people from chile who can´t afford to ski, can go. Dad always told me about ¨Clean shred¨ a brand that would have good uplifting graphics, etc. Here´s our chance!!!!! THERE´S NOT MUCH TIME! Also, I alwyas wanted to snowboard professionaly. We could do it as a family, and make lots of videos togethor. And share the gospel. In the village/town of the ski resort we could have a flow rider and surf, and a tumblind gym. I´m essentially describing Windells or the other one, but owned by the church. Let´s do it!

I love you all, I know the Book of Mormon is true, it helps us laugh, have more love, teach with power and feel the holy ghost. This is Christ´s church, HIS ogranization to help us become like him and have an eternal family. Hmmmmm... God loves us, plans  A TON and perferctly for us. He is our loving, caring father in heaven.

Love you all, share this stuff.

August 5, 2013 I love you all!

Miracles, Miracles.

Valentina was baptized yesterday. That day passed like a dream. Her whole family, including Patrico and Manuel, their boyfriends, came to church and the baptismal services! It´s so funny to see them progress and feel the spirit. Patricio has a lot Iniertia, he´s been arriving now at church constantly, but always alone and 20 minutes after everyone else, due to the parties he goes to the before in the night! He arrives at 5/6 in the morning, but always makes it to church. We have plans to help him and Genisis live the law of chasitty to the max, (he sleeps in the house every now and again), and I know that that whole family will accept the gospel. Awesome+ time+ BoM.
Veronica shared her testimony sunday. She had had a very long day, tired from running errands and work, and hadn´t been able to eat anything. We arrived to her home, and in truth she didn´t feel like sharing. Nonetheless, we began the lesson with a prayer. She says that she saw us (Elder Gueto and I) sourounded by light, as if we glowed, sitting right in front of her. She stands up and walks out, because she was confused by what was happening. At the time we didn´t know why she left, we didn´t notice anything, although roxana, her friend and the others did. I know that we ARE God´s angels, that he uses us, every day to do his work.
The Book of Mormon has worked a miracle with Roxana (formerly less active/part member family). She bore her testimony yesterday, and when we visited her and her family that night, there was a peace in the home, it was different. Nico didn´t make it to church. The sheets beat him;) Nah, actually it was sad, ha. But we had a dandy chat with him, and he´s going to teach us a class toninght in FHE. Balllin´!
English class is going great. All the students are crazy, ha, for the majority, it´s more like come to church to enjoy the company of the members, learn a few words or grammar principles and feel the spirit! Well, Worse things have happened;)   I´ve got a good class in plan for this coming wednesday. Cya there?
Teaching Tamara this week, (11 years old, little black girl with frizzy hair) her loving dog almost bit my leg off! It´s super fecoursous, I actually felt very protected by my garment. Once we finally entered, the lesson went pretty well;)
I know the Book of Mormon helps our families, helps us, be happy, smile, choose the right, become smarter, get good grades, see miracles, help others. It´s true. RReeaddd it.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Love you all sos sososoosoosososossosososoososoos much! Wow!
