January 13, 2014

I feel happy reading of Jesus in the BoM. My portuegues is progressing.
A short time back I pulled a few weeds from the garden. Ha, Garden?? Not yet... I cleaned them up and took them out front. Pretty nifty eh?
I feel happy listening to all of the conference talks. As I´m/we´re getting ready, we listen almost constantly, also in portugues. I´m understanding almost everything! Eh, eh?? Eh?

Elder Graham-face is the bomb. Get this! Best companion ever. He offered to buy me a ¨CHAPARRITA.¨ Hot dog, cheese, bread. MMmmm. He gave me his grapes. Elder Graham is Christ like. I love to run. He likes to do squats. He sits outside, in front of the house, allowing to run up and down the street in the morning. ¨Hey neighbor!¨ ¨Hey Luis, thanks for watering! ¨ ¨Have a great day at work!¨ Spin move. Truly it means a lot to me that he lets me run. I feel happy, grateful for him.

41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and ahappy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are bblessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out cfaithful to the end they are received into dheaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.

We ate lunch in one hour. We left the house, and we call to our Neighbor. He had always rejected us before, but THIS time Hernanan says to us, ¨Pasen!¨ (Come right in!) He´s pretty excited about the BoM:) Me too.

Alex didn´t make it to church. BUT he did lead the scout troop in games and made time to play soccer with the church!:) Ha, I´m not sure God will ok that. He´ll be baptized later, most likely not THIS saturday but he next. Will you continue to pray for Señor Hermano Alex Lopez? I will!  I promise your prayers really do take effect in our lives.

Alberto is a champ. ¨Hey will you watch this Joseph Smith movie?¨ Yes! Heck yes I´d love to! And he did. He´s excited about the BoM, has LOTS of questions about Joseph Smith. Will you cotinue to pray for him?

It was hard to teach piano to 8 people this past week. We have one piano? Don´t worry next week, I commit to bringing a keyboard and having a theory class. I feel happy that so many people want to develop talents, be at church, learn new things, have an eternal family.

My goals, and letter to Pres. Barreiros:

My goals for this year are... I commit to getting up at 6:30 to read the Book of Mormon king in Portuguese . I've been doing it , I love to start the morning in that way. I commit to study at 9:00 every day. I feel much happier doing so . I commit to leaving at 12:30 / 11:30 every day. It was just ok this week , BUT we promise to leave at 12:30 EVERY day this week.

We promise to get home on time every day , we do well there. The other goal is to bed on time at night. I commit to going to bed every day at 11:30 this week . It went well, 5/7 this week.
Baptize 1+ monthly.
I commit to eating better, that I will only eat fruit and drink water at night:)

Memorizing a scripture a day, easy, something small ! Make 1+ service per day for my companion. Be joyful, happy, obedient, pure, and clean!

At BYU , Utah, I commit to 4.0, go to the temple every week , index names, magnify my calling and my home teaching. Study PME and LdM every day for 30 + minutes in another language , get married before the year, start a business of production of video, or inflatable , etc.

God lives and loves us, Christ is a light that will never be extinguished, he lives and loves us. Obedience brings blessings, and miralces. Joseph smith is a prophet of God! The Book of Mormon, prayer, smooth our errorers. I testify that every time we ask for a misionary opportunity, God WILL send us such:)
This is his church!
